Grand Entrance Building Penn near Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
We actually completed this project around 4 years ago but recently caught up with the customer and spoke about the original build, below you can read a rough transcript of the conversation.
Why did you choose the Oak Glasshouse Company?
I had been thinking about a grand entrance type of Oak building for around six months; over the next year, I visited several home building exhibitions, during which time I spoke to several companies. However, due to Jim’s enthusiastic nature and his interest in the build, I only got the Oak Glasshouse Company to quote the project.
What were your reasons for the new building?
To improve the home’s aesthetics, change the building’s general style, incorporate new features, modernise, and extend to make a larger home more focused on lifestyle and quality of life.
Had you already decided on the type of building?
We had already decided on a grand entrance, Oak building style; halfway through, I felt the kitchen needed to be extended. I then instructed Jim and his team to build another single storey Oak extension to accommodate the kitchen; this decision helped the overall flow of the house as it improved general access.
Do you have a favourite feature?
The whole house works so much better with both extensions due to the previously mentioned improved flow of the building.
Your overall impression of The Oak Glasshouse Company?
Competent and reliable in terms of quality and on-time delivery, helpful nothing was too much trouble, they look for solutions and never dwell on problems.
